What's the teardown process?

• Drain. We set up a submersible pump and discharge to the yard, storm drain, or sanitary cleanout (following local rules). Drain time is 2–4 hours for most pools.
• Cut the liner. Once the water is out, we cut the vinyl liner free from the top rail and fold it for disposal.
• Disassemble the frame. Top rails, uprights, and bottom track all come apart with hand tools. Most frames are steel, aluminum, or resin.
• Pull pump, filter, and ladder. Everything on the equipment pad gets disconnected and hauled.
• Base and deck (optional). Sand/gravel base can be raked smooth or hauled. Surrounding deck can be demolished.
• Recycle and dispose. Metal gets recycled at a scrap yard. Liner and deck material go to a C&D landfill.

How long does the whole job take?

Most above-ground pool removals take 3–6 hours from arrival to drive-off. Draining runs in the background while we disconnect equipment and prep the deck. Larger pools with wraparound decks can stretch to a full day.

Do I need to drain it first?

No. We bring our own pump and handle it. If you've already drained it, the job is faster and usually comes in at the low end of the quote.

What about pool chemicals?

Pool chemicals (chlorine tablets, shock, algaecide) are considered household hazardous waste and shouldn't go in the regular trash. Let us know what you have and we'll tell you the nearest Central Florida HHW drop-off site.

Will the yard be usable afterward?

Yes. We rake the sand/gravel base smooth and leave the ground ready for grass seed or sod. If you want the base material hauled out entirely, add –.
