Riding Mower & Lawn Tractor Disposal in Orlando & Central Florida
What's included in riding mower disposal?
- Fluid drain. Gas, engine oil, hydrostatic fluid, and coolant are drained on site and collected in sealed containers for HHW disposal.
- Battery removal. Lead-acid battery is pulled and taken to a certified battery recycler.
- Load and haul. Ramp and winch for non-running units. Manual drive for running mowers.
- Scrap recycling. Engine block, deck, frame, and tires are separated and recycled at a local scrap yard.
- Donation attempt. Running units under 10 years old may be donated or resold before scrapping.
- Yard cleanup. Any loose parts, belts, blades, or tools are picked up. Oil drips are wiped.
Does it matter if the mower doesn't run?
No. Most of our riding mower calls are non-runners — dead batteries, seized engines, blown transaxles, cracked decks. We bring a ramp and a winch to pull non-running mowers onto the truck.
Why can't I just put it at the curb?
Central Florida municipalities won't take riding mowers at the curb because of the gas, oil, and battery. Dropping a mower at the county landfill also requires you to drain all fluids first — which is the part nobody wants to do.
How long does the pickup take?
30–60 minutes on site for most riding mowers. Fluid drain is the longest step (15–20 minutes). Loading a running mower takes 5 minutes; a non-runner takes 10–15 with the winch.
Do you take other yard equipment at the same time?
Yes. String trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, edgers, push mowers, and old gas cans are all handled in the same visit — usually at no extra charge when paired with a riding mower. Pair with shed removal to clear the whole yard in one pass.
Why people call us for mower disposal
- Engine seized after years of sitting in a Florida garage
- Transaxle blown, repair costs more than a new mower
- Selling the house and the mower doesn't make the cut
- Estate cleanout with old yard equipment piled up
- Upgrading to a zero-turn and the dealer doesn't take the trade-in
