Pool table service depends on size, slate thickness, and how many turns we have to take getting it out. Here's the typical Central Florida range:

What's the removal process?

  • Remove the rails. 6–8 bolts on the underside hold the rails to the frame. Rails come off first.
  • Pull the felt. Felt is stapled to the slate. We pull the staples and roll the felt for disposal (or keep it if you want to reuse it).
  • Unscrew the slate. Most slate beds are 2 or 3 pieces, screwed into the frame with beeswax sealing the joints. We scrape the wax and lift each slab.
  • Break down the frame. Legs unbolt from the cabinet; the cabinet comes apart into manageable pieces.
  • Haul and clean. Slate goes to a C&D landfill or scrap if requested. Wood frame and felt are disposed. Room is swept.

Will you try to donate it?

If the slate is intact and the frame is solid, we'll attempt to donate the table before disposal. Usable slate tables are always in demand because re-felting is cheap and the slate itself lasts forever.

How long does pool table removal take?

Most jobs are done in 1–2 hours. A basement table with a tight stairway can stretch to 3 hours. We bring the tools, dollies, and protective pads — you don't lift anything.

Can you move a pool table instead of removing it?

If you want the table moved to a new location (not disposed), that's a separate quote — ask about our moving services. Pool tables also need to be re-leveled after any move.
